We are delighted to share the report on our Ofsted inspection which took place on 23rd and 24th January 2024.

Ofsted agrees that Stockingford Academy is ‘Good’ in all aspects of its work. This is the most successful inspection outcome for the school since Stockingford Infant School extended its age range to 11 following the closure of the Junior School in September 2012. It represents the journey of rapid improvement undertaken since academisation in September 2019 even against the barriers presented
by a global pandemic!

I’m sure you’ll want to read the report in full but some highlights are as follows:

  • Pupils love their school. They know that the adults care about them and will listen to them.
  • The school has high expectations for all pupils, including those with special educational needs and/or disabilities (SEND).
  • Pupils behave well at Stockingford Academy. There are warm, respectful relationships between staff
    and pupils.
  • The school prioritises pupils’ reading. Everyone enjoys and values reading.
  • The school’s provision for pupils with SEND is a real strength.
  • Pupils have positive attitudes towards learning … Pupils are proud of their work and are keen to talk
    about it.
  • The school is led and managed well…..Staff are united and work with positivity and purpose to put the needs of pupils first.

You will see that the report highlights some areas of work to develop further. We have already started to
draft plans to work on these points.
