Stockingford Academy, part of Inspire Education Trust, is thrilled to announce its successful bid for government funding to establish a high-quality nursery provision on-site. The Department for Education has awarded the school £150,000 in capital funding as part of its nationwide school-based nursery grant initiative, announced yesterday.

Out of 642 applications spanning 135 local authorities, only 300 projects were selected, and Stockingford Academy proudly stands among the six successful applicants in the local area – the only Multi Academy Trust (MAT) to receive funding.

This exciting development will enable Stockingford Academy to open a 26-place nursery for three-year-olds in September 2025, expanding to a 39-place provision by September 2026. The new nursery will provide children in the community with an exceptional start to their education, ensuring a seamless transition into full-time school. It will also enhance early identification of learning needs, strengthen parental engagement, and contribute to Warwickshire County Council’s family support and early intervention strategy.
